Review of The Angry Birds Movie (2016) by Silvestre S — 29 Jul 2016
This movie was an amazing surprise. I thought "Oh god, this finally got a movie? Way to be on the ball." But then I saw it because hey, cute bird designs and I was shocked. This movie was really aware.
Aware being this movie really felt like different people were involved in its intentions. It had something the kiddies could enjoy, and some things older audiences could get into. Spoiler free, this movie; I can't honestly call this a kid film because this is what family movies should be; A movie that tackles multiple subjects while still feeling like what you expected. The protagonist started feeling like a character you're supposed to dislike but grow close to over time and relate to. They played than number in a way that didn't feel too forced and his pals really meshed with him.
This movie is one I see myself watching multiple times because the more you know, you'll find yourself learning more than you did with each watch. You will have to decide if what you learn from this is good or bad, but I feel its needed.
