OK let's be honest, this movie is more about the kids than it is the kid in all of us. Of course as adults we will get the humor because it is cute. However we can't truly appreciate the silliness and ridiculousness because we have moved on from the days of eating our own boogers.
This is a movie to be seen with a child by your side. Now I am not saying you should find a child to sit beside because that is just weird. If you don't have a child you can take to see the movie with, you can probably take your immature, drunk uncle Bill with you.
That way at least you can laugh at him if you don't get the humor.
