Review of The Andromeda Strain (1971) by Corey W — 20 Jun 2013
One of my all time favorite Sci-Fi's from before all the modern special effects. Well written, stuck to the book for the most part except for some name changes. I thought the monkey really died during filming it's exposure to the Andromeda Strain.
Later I learned that his oxygen war replaced with carbon dioxide and he passed out. You can see shadows on the set at the last second as the vet ran to revive the monkey.
