Review of The Andromeda Strain (1971) by Richard S — 20 Aug 2010
Quite poor. It fails the basic movie need for characters that you actually care about. The acting was wooden; the plot was techy and full of jargon, and it was slow as well. You really don't care what happens next.
And what a terrible, anticlimactic ending! First we have an improbable and obvious rush at the end to turn off the alarm-- and then suddenly we are explained that the virus was fixed and everything's fine? Terrible.
