Review of The Amityville Horror (2005) by Bill T — 24 Feb 2010
OK remake, I felt it added a lot of backstory that wasn't really needed. Like the backstiory of what made the house REALLY haunted (I thought it was made on an old indian burial ground?) anyways, I can list a lot of what I don't like about this, the priest is a minor role, gore instead of suspense, and there's not much sense of doom (quite possibly because the 2 leads have not that much chemistry together).
Still, it's interesting they remade this and sort of fun to watch, just watch the original after (or better yet, before) to get the better movie.
