Review of The Amityville Horror (2005) by Alessandro C — 01 Feb 2015

As a horror film it's fairly entertaining and supplies great atmosphere. Ryan Reynolds does a great job playing his role and I was actually kinda scared of him by the end. All that being said, the film never really does anything to make it stand out from other horror films.

It deviates from the book a lot too. Really? George never tried to kill his family. To be honest though, I find myself going back to it time and time again for some reason. More than I should. I don't know, maybe it's just because of my fascination with the Amity house.

If this were just a haunted house movie, I probably only would have watched it once.
