This is one of my feel good movies, one of my favourite movies actually. If it is on tv, I won't change the channel. If I am in a bad mood or just bored or depressed, I get out the dvd. It isn't just the smart writing, the beautiful film making or the stellar acting of the entire cast; and it isn't the gorgeousness of the incomparable Miss Bening. It isn't just the romance or the dialogue that satisfies my need for intelligent conversation.
It's a dream.
It's a dream that we might have a president like this one day. A good man and a good president. A flawed man who struggles with his thoughts and speaks his mind. A presidential president.
It's a wish for the future, for a world where sleazy politicians lose the election.
