Review of The American (2010) by Nishk B — 20 May 2011
A run of the mill spy action thriller with some romance. George Clooney does well as always but suffers because of a wafer thin plot which has been beaten to death. An assassin on his last mission befriends a priest and dates a prostitute before finally sorting out the baddies.
It is a slow film and has only a handful of scenes that catch your eye or surprise you.
