Review of The American (2010) by H-P K — 02 Aug 2011
The American is really good stuff! I was expecting this sweaty action movie about an assassin doing his one last job before getting out forever but when I got a beautifully-shot, carefully paced and highly suspenseful movie.
It does touch on a few cliches this type of movie often falls victim to but it takes away very little from a very minimal story. The American isn't the most engaging movie but its definitely underrated.
Well worth the time.
