"The American" is one of the best movies in 2010 that showcases a performance by George Clooney that is reminiscent of Steve McQueen. Clooney's portrayal of Jack the assassin is moody and methodical. Neophyte.
Filmmaker Anton Corbijn exhibits the extraordinary task of slowly building tension in a way that hasn't been done before in some time. Great stuff!
P.S. Kudos also goes to the great cinematographer Martin Ruhe, who brings beauty to the silver screen!
