Good suspense thriller starring George Clooney. The American is well directed and beautifully shot, with a 70's feel about it. Clooney plays an assassin who gets into trouble after a job in Sweden, He retreats to the Italian countryside and holds up in a small medieval town.
While there, Jack takes an assignment to construct a weapon for a mysterious contact, and falls in love with a local prostitute. The performances are all solid and the direction never staggers, but at the end I was left wanting a little extra.
Overall, well worth checking out.
