Review of The American (2010) by Ian O — 03 Apr 2012
"The America" far too cold, pretentious, and distant for anyone to actually be actively engage in this dramatic thriller. George Clooney's character's persona amounts to nothing more than stone, and often delivers his lines in that same manner.
"The American" would have made an excellent short film, however, with a running time of 102 minutes this is one film that suffers from long, drawn out scenes that rarely add up to anything worthy of excitement.
