Review of The American (2010) by David F — 29 Jun 2012
I go into Clooney moves expecting them to be talky and slow, but this is insanely boring. Very slow, very thin. Plot makes no sense, and I don't care for Clooney's character one bit. It isn't good cinema when you have plot holes and let the audience fill in the background.
And the action is terrible. How many would-be assassins have to get super close to Clooney and miss so he can turn around, give a wink the the camera, and ice them? This movie is 100 minutes of watching Clooney make faces while he thinks.
