The American , is the summation of one mans internal turmoil , for what he has done something eats away at his soul , the film gains suspense throughout in turn for the dazzling climax , he just wants to be loved,,,, do not watch this on the merit of an action movie or you will be very much let down , none the less the American is a brooding summation of things gone past and that single actions always derive a consequence.
