Although it is beautifully shot and George Clooney is good though emotionally restrained the American could've been an exciting bourne type spy thiller but instead settles for an extremely slow drama where extremely little happens and never gives much of a story although it is a little interesting mainly because you're always expecting an action scene which rarely actually happens.
