Review of The American (2010) by Zane T — 29 Jul 2011
I would have liked it more if I could have understood just what was going on. There's a lot of loose ends that I never could understand. Clooney plays an assassin who hides out in Italy while a series of events happen that lead up to, big suprise, Clooney being a target.
Didn't see that one coming. While the locales look good, it's just another, American in Europe thriller. Clooney needs to get making movies like this before he becomes a washout in his autumn years playing grandfather roles.
