Although even weaker than Spider-man 3, the lead characters' chemistry, special effects improvement, and the resolution of the story arcs of certain characters make The Amazing Spider-Man 2 worth watching.
Nevertheless, the story arcs of Peter's family are extremely boring and severely drag the film from what could've saved the franchise.
