Review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) by Kevtheobald — 09 May 2014

In some ways this is an improvement over the first Amazing Spider-Man, but they made some odd choices. I think they found a great actor for Peter Parker. The SFX sometimes slide into video game style, which was a little distracting. It feels like a movie plus the start of another. Electro was great other than how they made his body fluid like a ghost one moment, but when Spider-Man hits him he is solid. There some other quirks, but you get the point.

If you are looking for a classic popcorn flick that is not a grim hero movie, this is a solid choice. If you are looking for the greatest Marvel character based movie ever, this is not it.
