Review of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 (2014) by Ivan D — 26 Aug 2015
Sony once again doesn't learn from it's past mistakes, Spider-Man 3 failed because the movie is overcrowded with many supporting characters and villains, Sony instead of fixing that mistake they did it again Not only this movie is overcrowded with many villains and supporting characters but it's incredibly rushed and most of all dull.
The plot of the movie is rushed, the relationship of Peter and Gwen is rushed, they break up and then after 10 minutes they decided to be together then they break up again but after 10 minutes again they decide to be together, the introduction of Norman is very quick only for 5 minutes then they killed him of, the relationship of Peter and Harry was great but it lasted only for 5 minutes, Harry quickly became mad at Peter so it's a rushed relationship.
Electro is a fan of spidey but just because Peter forgets his name he quickly became mad at him and trying to kill him, his motives are unclear and dull. Harry's transformation is extremely rushed and he appeared only for 5 minutes just because he had to kill gwen and his motives for killing Peter are dull as well.
The action with the exception of clock tower is bad and the tone of the movie is unfocused, it doesn't focus on one particular tone, the tone is comedic in one minute and in the next is serious, it's a mess.
Basically the movie is just a set up for The Sinister Six which eventually will never happen. Easily the worst Spider-Man movie with the worst villain ever. Electro !!!
