Review of The Amazing Panda Adventure (1995) by Roy C — 02 May 2010
You ever see a movie for the first time, but you strangely feel like you've seen it before? This is The Amazing Panda Adventure... aka Chinese Homeward Bound. Don't get me wrong, this movie had some nice cinematography; the nature of China is beautiful.
But there's a lot of awkward moments in it, like the scene where the kids strip their clothes off or the fact that the main character's dad (the bad guy from Avatar) doesn't even notice his kid.
Even the score is odd... I remember on two different occasions when the action on the screen did not match the music, although it made for good unintentional comedy. I'm not sure if you should go out of your way to see it unless you really find pandas cute.
