Review of The Alamo (2004) by Heather C — 10 Jun 2007
This is one of my favorite war movies. Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Quaid provide stunning performances that I don't think could have been accomplished by anyone else. The fight scene at the Alamo is one of my favorite war scenes of all time; it's intense, brutal, and exciting.
I also love Billy Bob's violin playing; the scene where he does this at the Alamo is very very exhilerating. The movie starts out fairly slow, but it's important to pay attention to everything going on.
