Review of The Alamo (2004) by Finn M — 18 Jul 2008
Such a good telling of a classic story. The actors seem to capture the people they are playing very well. Thornton especially brings some talent to the role of the hugely famous, living legend Davy Crockett (he prefers David).
I enjoyed that they mentioned true facts about Crockett such as his serving in congress and fighting in the Creek Indian war. Quaid performs as Sam Houston quite convincingly as well. Very good in helping us to "remember the Alamo".
