Review of The Alamo (2004) by Cheri H — 04 May 2009
A relatively lifeless historical epic that only gathers some expected steam during the battle sequences. The characters aren't particularly well fleshed out and all spit out some atrocious dialogue (Davy Crockett's last line is the worst offender) while the boring score reminds you that you're watching a bad movie every step of the way.
At the very least, it might make for good watching in schools and might give students a better explanation of what happened at the Alamo than their history books might. At least this attention to detail salvages it from being a complete failure.
