Review of The Alamo (2004) by Bugi P — 01 Mar 2010
The story of great heroism in the American Civil War era, with the background: Alamo defenders of the invasion of Santa Anna's army. Many versions of this film, and in my eyes this is the worst version.
John Lee Hancock raises too many internal conflicts and personal in this film, so the element of struggle is not much felt. Perhaps he wanted this film is peppered with touching dramatic scene, but eventually it made this movie look a bit sloppy for the size of a story of struggle.
Version of John Wayne in the 60's much better!
