Review of The Alamo (2004) by Ovi G — 25 Aug 2007
A very good interpretation of the fight at the Alamo on the 6th of april 1836, with 2 great actors on the same side Billy Bob Thornton and Dennis Quaid, it has a pretty realistic effect probably because they did not use so many special effects to preserve the air of those past times and they did it, I hven't really seen the older version but I really liked this one and I think that if anyone missed it should see it, no matter if he/she knows history, the movie always puts u there in those times, I mean there's great acting, and lots of shooting, people dying, honor, respect and of course the need for freedom and again like in many movies like this, the enemy's army is 10times bigger than the honorable men's army that are trying to survive and supress the enemy as long as they can, with the cost of their lives!!!!! I really haven't red any books or ever heard of the Alamo, until i've seen the movie and made it pretty clear for me!!!!!
