Interesting that Forest Whitaker's character represented happiness given he lived for such a short time in the film (is the theme here that recklessness will set you free?). Also, strange that Brendan Fraser's character experienced pleasure for such a short time and yet his character was chosen to reflect 'pleasure'.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's character (being sorrow) hard some dark moments when confronted by Andy Garcia, but unlike the previous two characters that died soon after experiencing the key emotions, she came out of sorrow and was reborne.

Then Kevin Bacon, whose character represented love really showed irrational behaviour, but then again, I guess that's love. An enjoyable movie that really had potential to have suffered by going for too long, but it had just the right momentum throughout and was well rounded off at the right time.
