Review of The Age of Stupid (2009) by Mohamad A — 08 Feb 2012
I thought this was a bit contrived at some points and the failure to address nuclear power was a big hole in its analysis. I also found some of the 'war for oil' rhetoric a bit tired and simplistic.
That said, the cartoon bits were great and beautifully depicted the absurdities of the situation and some of the documentaries featured were interesting and moving. 90% of the arguments in the film were totally, heart wrenchingly true and, though it didn't tell me anything new, it served as a powerful reminder of the disasters the human race is facing within my own lifetime.
