Review of The Age of Innocence (1993) by Adam B — 28 Feb 2009
It is a nod to the skills of Scorsese that he can make a film far removed from his previous canon and yet still stamp it with his technical flair. At first, I approached this movie with hesitation, as usually costume/period pieces are just too melodramatic and slow.
I did enjoy this one alot though, mainly due to the acting of Day-Lewis and of the many period details that the creators pack into every line of dialogue and set.
