It's interesting to go back and watch a movie like this, years later, and realize it's just straight up war propaganda.The story is of a simple, downtrodden man who rescues a woman who immediately manipulates him into going on a terrorist suicide mission.
It's basically romanticizing the idea of creating a bomb, strapping it to your waist (in this case your boat) and blowing up the 'enemy' without having any thought that it might be a terrible idea.
Still, a funky and thoroughly enjoyable movie.
