Review of The African Queen (1952) by Steven S — 12 Mar 2009
Humphrey Bogart (who won an Oscar for his role in this film) and Katharine Hepburn, the two greatest actors in the history of film star in this wonderful film. Their performances in this film give this film a sense of adventure.
It really does. Most people think that Katharine Hepburn was a semi-attractive, immensely talented actress. I think she is a goregous, immensely talented actress. I actually thought she was better than Bogart, although she did start to lose her sensiblities into the end of the film.
But there is no denying that she dominates the frame with Bogart in almost every shot.
