Review of The African Queen (1952) by Sofia B — 20 Feb 2011
It's Africa during WWI and the maid sister (Katherine Hepburn) of a dead missionary needs help to move through Africa and avoid being killed by the Germans while trying to kill them and so employs a burly gin-chugging boat captain/owner (Humphrey Bogart) to help her. The only remaining problem for the two is to not kill each other while travelling.
Unbelievable chemistry between Bogart and Hepburn. All in all very good.
