Review of The African Queen (1952) by Keating T — 10 Feb 2012
As to be expected, Bogart and Hepurn have a seeming perfect performance. I felt there was just enough to keep me interested. A greatly relevant film of its time, and great scenery for its time as well.
Today, the films actions scenes, including wildlife shots just don't appeal as much as the shots were intended; understandably. Good story and play-write, I liked the historical references.
