Review of The Affairs of Anatol (1921) by Matt M — 01 Aug 2013
DeMille's film is a racy and daring look at unfaithfulness and that paranoid kind of tension that takes place in a relationship. It's also quite entertaining, quirky with its remarkable tongue in cheek humour and a good solid pace.
The Affairs of Anatol, in short, is a good specimen of the kind of 'controversial' and 'immoral' films which were being made during the pre-production code era.
