Review of The Affair of the Necklace (2001) by Sofia L — 30 Mar 2008
Oh dear, what a shame. The story might have been interesting with another director and another script. And another editor. And cinematographer. And...
A total waste of a brilliant cast: Hilary Swank, Jonathan Pryce, Brian Cox, Christopher Walken and Adrien Brody cannot save this risible excuse for a film. The protagonist is dull, unsympathetic and excessively stupid. The one star is for the cast, who have all leant their names to better things.
