Review of The Adventures of Tintin (2011) by Francisca M — 15 Dec 2012
I'm familiar with the story but I didn't grow up really watching it. I was excited for this because of the animation, the director and cast. The story was nice and enjoyable. It doesn't continually hit you with action.
We don't get to really fall in love with the characters except for maybe Haddock. The animation is amazing. I wish it was able to touch everyone more. Tintin is this great reporter as you can see from his hung articles but we don't get a sense of who he is.
Some are just meeting him for the first time. Others know him but would like that relationship refreshed. They should've introduced him and Snowy better. He's cool and that appeals to the kids.
Overall, a fabulous animated film but decent for everything else.
