This may just be Steven Spielberg's apology to fans for Kingdom of the Crystal Skull! (that film only crime IMO was that it was just kind of forgettable) I feel that despite the CGI not allowing much expression in the characters, the film still has an engrossing and fun story that never causes the audience to destroy their suspend of disbelief even in the most ridiculous of scenes.
