The poorly executed blend of hyper-realistic animation and over-the-top action sequences prevent any real sense of escapism from kicking in, which is unfortunate given the fantastic team behind the movie.
Still though, there's just enough to impress and entertain for the full runtime, and it ends up more enjoyable than not.
