Of course this is great entertainment - you put Spielberg and Jackson together and there's just movie magic. As a Tintin fan though, what makes my eyes sparkle isn't the wonderful CGI, it's all those darned easter eggs all over the movie, starting (spoiler) with a cameo of Hergà (C) in the opening credits.
Tons of references to other Tintin novels (Blue Lotus, Crab of the Golden Claws etc.) sprinkle the movie, but go watch it yourself to find them.
