Review of The Adventures of Tintin (2011) by Graham K — 13 Nov 2012
Although I did enjoy this film, I'd been led to believe it was more than just a good family caper. It was not. While the animation, visual richness, and general inventiveness of Tin Tin are undeniably superb, the story is thin, the characters one dimensional & the feelgood factor is high.
Which is all perfectly good for a family film. What is strange, is that my wife & I managed to retain our 20 & 16 year olds to watch the whole movie- for maybe the first time since the last LOTR film.
Recommended for family fun, though you'll be disappointed if you expect anything more.
