Review of The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (1939) by Larry W — 01 Aug 2010
Like visiting with an old friend. Basil Rathbone IS Holmes (sorry Mr. Downey). I wish Fox hadn't abandoned the rights to Universal and I wish they hadn't moved him from Victorian England to WWII Nazi fighter.
But this one is the rare gem in the crown (along with The Hound of the Baskervilles. Pop some corn (as I did), sit back and enjoy.
