Here we have a Robin Hood that is just as cocky as any other movie regarding the character, but unlike your invincible Kevin Costner version he is unable to best both Little John and Friar Tuck in their own personal strengths.
Also we have a less socially conscientious Maid Marian who is more naive regarding the mistreatment of the Saxons. For a film that's 70 years old it still packs more adventure and romance then the majority of cinema released these days.
Who cares about Kevin Costner?
