One of the greatest adventure films, right up there with "Raiders of the Lost Ark" and any other genre classics. Errol Flynn's Robin Hood is a congenial yet roguish swashbuckler; Basil Rathbone and Claude Rains are appropriately despicable villains.
The Technicolor cinematography is lush and vibrant, the script witty and good-natured, and the action sequences fierce and fast paced. An undisputable classic.
