The definitive swashbuckler and Errol Flynn's greatest role....Not to mention, the only Robin Hood movie that matters. Beautiful technicolor photography and a supporting cast that's second to none.
Flynn, at his dashing best, romancing Olivia, matching wit with Claude Rains and duelling with evil Rathbone are some of the exciting elements in this terrific movie. Much like "Captain Blood" & "The Sea Hawk", Michael Curtiz provided the sure-handed direction while Erich Wolfgang Korngold provided another outstanding score.
Incidentally, this is the flick that turned me into a major film buff, so it shouldn't surprise you to learn that this film is my absolute favourite of all time....EVER!!!....A perfect movie in everyway.
