Review of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) by Ruth L — 02 Feb 2012
Michael Curtiz' classic swashbuckler The Adventures of Robin Hood is a light and entertaining adventure film. I have to guess that everybody knows the story of Robin Hood. It's the story about the outlaw Robin Hood (Errol Flynn) and his loyal rebels who steal from the rich and gives to the poor.
And also fight against Prince John's (Claude Rains) terror regime, because the throne really belong to his brother Richard Lionheart who's captured as a prison by the germans who demands bails for his release, which would been paid with the people's taxes, but is used instead for Prince John's own pleasures.
The Adventures of Robin Hood is a light and funny film for both children and grown ups. Thumbs Up.
