Review of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) by Zack F — 01 Feb 2013
1938. They were making quality films. Errol Flynn played his most memorable role. Olivia de Haviland was in her prime. Basil Rathbone was as evil and conniving as always. The scripts were witty, and we could watch talented director Michael Curtiz at work.
This is a masterpiece for the time. Worth a watch for sure as a fan of film, Flynn, or Robin Hood, or just because you needed something a little more diverse than the crap produced nowadays.
