Review of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) by Nicholas H — 09 Apr 2013
As much as I love Mel Brooks' "Robin Hood: Men in Tights" it dawned on me that it might be in my interest to see one of the great versions parodied by it. Not only was Errol Flynn's Sir Robin of Locksley enjoyable to watch, it increased my appreciation of Men in Tights even more.
It's absolutely ridiculous, even campy at times, but it's some of the most fun I've had watching an older film.
