Review of The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) by Tristan D — 21 Sep 2009
The stuff for which movies were made, a beautifully shot adventure tale with the perfect cast to match. Flynn is the ultimate swashbuckling hero and Robin Hood finds him pitted against not only Basil Rathbone but Claude Rains and Melville Cooper.
There's also plenty of action, great music and the lovely Olivia de Havilland.
