Review of The Adventures of Pluto Nash (2002) by D R — 30 May 2008

I could tell it was shooting for that 50s pulp sci-fi look but it ultimately didn't feel right but I couldn't put my finger on why.

Towards the end, during the crude jokes and action scenes I realised what wasn't right about this movie. It has all the conventions, attitudes and jokes of an 80s action comedy, it just wasn't made in the 80s. It's an 80s movie made in 2002.

I think if this was made in the 80s it would have actually been interesting with some new ideas but now it's just outdated and all the jokes have been made before.
