Review of The Adventures of Pinocchio (1972) by Todd A — 16 Oct 2010
A nice mix of techniques and much time spent on building sentiment before getting into the third act donkey/whale shenanigans. These are less disturbing as a result, and support the theme of paternal love instead of seeming fixated on garnering a punitive or moralistic response.
But the voice of Pinocchio is so shrill I found it distracting.
