Review of The Adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad (1949) by Trevor R — 08 Apr 2013
I love both of these adaptions. The genuinely creepy "Ichabod" has fantastic character designs, and "Mr. Toad" is a great crime caper with some really fun action. Plus: Crosby and Rathbone as narrators.
There's obviously an intentional lack of cohesion between the two shorts, and they're not particularly deep, but this is solid storytelling.
